This is a follow up to my initial review. Now that I have used these gloves all summer managing about 30 colonies, I can say that I really like them. They are my go to glove when going to the bee yard. I thought the short cuff might be a problem, but it really wasn't as long as I made sure my sleeve covered the cuff. They are comfortable and give me the dexterity that I want when working bees.
The gloves are not sting proof. I have been stung in the back of the hand through the mesh,, through the leather and through the elastic on the cuff. Stings are rare, and the dexterity of the gloves are worth the risk to me.
I was hoping to get a few years out of these gloves, but that doesn't look like it's going to happen now, as I have worn a hole in the right thumb. I didn't notice the hole until I burned my thumb on my OA vaporizer!. I will continue with these for as long as I can, but I really expected these gloves to last longer than 5 months. I'm managing about 30 colonies so the gloves are being used a day or two every week, not every day.
I will most likely order another pair, but I am disappointed these didn't last longer.
I bought these and got my dexterity back when managing my hives. Personally, I sized down from L to M and at first I worried that they'd be too tight. Over a few uses, they've loosen perfectly where I don't have the extra material at my fingertips that would always get in the way. I feel like I have a good grip on frames, tools, etc. I'm considering buying another for a backup. They are that good!!

Apis Tactical PRO Beekeeping Gloves
My daughter and I worked our 7 hives today using our new Apis-Tactical gloves. We have one hive which is a bit hot, having stung me twice in the hand last week (through the nitrile gloves). This week, we both worked confidently through all the hives, leaving the apiary unstung. That’s especially surprising as we harvested honey from the “hot” hive.
We both noted how the Apis-Tactical gloves fit extremely well and enabled us to work at a good pace, not rushing to get done before we got stung, nor being concerned that we might drop a frame when pulling it out for observation. We added slatted racks to 4 of the hives, so it took longer than usual today, yet we both noted how our hands were not sweaty after all the day’s activities.
