The jacket is so nice because of the ventilation. I haven’t even taken advantage of the pockets for ice packs. But mist importantly it is protective and works well with the APIS gloves.
In addition the hood was quite easy to attach.
I will likely buy the full body suit next.

Such a comfortable jacket when you first put it on. The jacket fits snug on the waist and loose on the sleeves. The cuffs have a great velcro closure, and I like the way the gloves lock onto the cuffs very well. I can tell the jacket will keep me cool when I move about, yet I can also see that it could keep you warm in colder weather, especially with something underneath. I've wanted a three layer jacket for some time and I feel like I made the right decision coming to Apis Tactical.
Oh and read the manual, it has some great secrets.
I have been using my Apis Tactical Pro jacket and veil for a few weeks. I have been in a few very defensive hives and there are a lot of things I like and a few improvements that can be made. What I like is the quality of the veil, quality of the zipper and Velcro areas. The jacket is lightweight and fits exactly how I anticipated. I do like the multi position strap for the veil and the zipper-this makes it easy to open while grafting or getting a drink. The areas for improvement are the pockets. I don’t like trying to fight with flaps to get at things in my pockets that I need, especially when I only have one hand available. The ends of the arms are a cloth material and not ventilated. I’ve been stung several times through the cloth and bees are constantly climbing up my arm, even with the Velcro on the wrist tightened (I use nitrile gloves). I wish the mesh would have continued down with a loose elastic/velcro closure. Finally, the quality of some of the stitching is not great and there are loose threads that get caught in the zipper. Overall, it is a great product with a very good design. Oh, and the instruction manual is phenomenal-not expected for such a product but it is very helpful!
