Why do these beekeeping gloves not have sleeves like other beekeeping gloves?

The need for sleeves arises from the historical lack of most beekeeping suits/jackets on the market. Bees primarily attack the hands, forearms, and faces of beekeepers disturbing their hives. Our beekeeping gloves are designed to be worn with quality beekeeping suits/jackets that resist bee stings. They work especially well with the beekeeping suits/jackets that we at Apis Tactical are developing. Sleeves just add another layer on the arms which makes for more heat and more discomfort.

How do I wear these gloves so that my beekeeping suit/jacket doesn't expose my wrist?

Our gloves are designed to be worn UNDER your beekeeping suit/jacket sleeve cuffs. Most suits have an elastic or velcro closure designed to tighten around the wrist. There is a space above our glove's velcro closure strap where your beekeeping suit/jacket closure should tighten down. The glove's strap should prevent your suit cuff from slipping off. If your suit is not able to tighten sufficiently, you may need to add a strap or rubber band to help it stay connected to the glove. Many beekeeping suits/jackets also have a thumb strap. That strap goes over our gloves and should keep your suit/jacket cuff in place.

These gloves look similar to other ventilated beekeeping gloves, but those gloves don't stop bee stings on the back of the hand. How are your gloves different?

Our Apis Tactical Beekeeping gloves have a new type of mesh system that allows far more airflow to keep your hands cooler than any other glove. More importantly, this mesh system maintains around 5mm of space between the bees and your skin. Bees cannot sting farther than 3mm or so. Most other meshes are only 3 to 4mm and they compress easily to less than 2mm. Remember that bees can still sting through the leather if it is tight against the skin and not moving... if you stay busy with your hands, bee stings should be rare with these gloves.

Bee suit

Best 1 piece bee suit I have owned I bought one for my son. Had mine about 3yrs no issues.

Love the gloves & love the suit

Finally a suit that fits. I've ordered several suits that I've had to return from different companies. I was so glad to find Apis Tactial, at the Missouri Beekeepers conference, this fall. I ordered my suit my gloves according to the measurements they provided, and they fit just right.

Amazing in tropical heat!

I have had a couple of sets of Apis Tactical gloves and I love them like no other gloves I've ever had. They've built a lot of trust in their brand with me by delivering an awesome product.

Customer service is above and beyond all my expectations.

Here's what happened. I work about 30 colonies down here in Southeast Texas. I had a pair of these gloves for about 6 months maybe eight months and then I noticed some small issues with the gloves. Basically one glove wore out a little quicker than anticipated. I called the customer service number and left my phone number and name and Mr Jeff personally contacted me that day and said he would take care of this problem immediately. I'm pleased to report that Jeff sent me a replacement pair of gloves and they're made out of pig skin so we're going to try those out and see how they do. We believe that perhaps the original goat skin ones that I had were a little thin from the manufacturer.
So what do I think about these apis tactical gloves. Well, I think they're absolutely awesome!! Some of the colonies I have can get down right now nasty from time to time especially when all those worker bees are home during a bit of a dearth. I have gotten nicked a little bit but more often than not in those ugly hives I may have between 30 and 50 Bees on my gloves drilling for pay dirt. Lol

No Sting Gloves

These gloves are very comfortable.
I have not felt a sting through these gloves. Yes, my hands have been stung, but nothing through them.
