Why do these beekeeping gloves not have sleeves like other beekeeping gloves?

The need for sleeves arises from the historical lack of most beekeeping suits/jackets on the market. Bees primarily attack the hands, forearms, and faces of beekeepers disturbing their hives. Our beekeeping gloves are designed to be worn with quality beekeeping suits/jackets that resist bee stings. They work especially well with the beekeeping suits/jackets that we at Apis Tactical are developing. Sleeves just add another layer on the arms which makes for more heat and more discomfort.

How do I wear these gloves so that my beekeeping suit/jacket doesn't expose my wrist?

Our gloves are designed to be worn UNDER your beekeeping suit/jacket sleeve cuffs. Most suits have an elastic or velcro closure designed to tighten around the wrist. There is a space above our glove's velcro closure strap where your beekeeping suit/jacket closure should tighten down. The glove's strap should prevent your suit cuff from slipping off. If your suit is not able to tighten sufficiently, you may need to add a strap or rubber band to help it stay connected to the glove. Many beekeeping suits/jackets also have a thumb strap. That strap goes over our gloves and should keep your suit/jacket cuff in place.

These gloves look similar to other ventilated beekeeping gloves, but those gloves don't stop bee stings on the back of the hand. How are your gloves different?

Our Apis Tactical Beekeeping gloves have a new type of mesh system that allows far more airflow to keep your hands cooler than any other glove. More importantly, this mesh system maintains around 5mm of space between the bees and your skin. Bees cannot sting farther than 3mm or so. Most other meshes are only 3 to 4mm and they compress easily to less than 2mm. Remember that bees can still sting through the leather if it is tight against the skin and not moving... if you stay busy with your hands, bee stings should be rare with these gloves.

I ordered a veil(round)a bee suit and pro gloves.
I saw Kamon wearing the gloves first.
I noticed how the gloves fit very well.
No bulk, it just hugs the hand and is breathable and offers superior protection all while letting the wearer manipulate frames and fiddle with pens nearly as well as a bare hand.
I thought well shoot, if their gloves fit that well the suits must be pretty darn close to the same.

I couldn’t be happier with my suit!!
It is snug but not too snug. I could have ordered a size up but I hated how my last suit practically drooped to me knees. Never mind the stumbling fumbling bumbling I did in it. So I stuck with a large. I’m 5’11” and weigh 185.
The well placed easily accessible pockets and little hidy holes are awesome! A sleeve for the hive tool, belt loops if you wanted to wear a belt to attach tools too. The tiny magnet pouches, haven’t tried this feature yet, are a cool addition! I’m missing plenty, it doesn’t stop where I described that’s for sure!
The zippers and the zipper pulls are perfect!! They close and open easily with hardly any effort.
My last suit was really lacking in this department.
I could go on and on here, but you get the gist. If you want a great suit at a great price, look no further!!

I love this jacket! It’s breathable and feels secure.
I would recommend this product!!

Needs Help

The round hood is currently built for someone with a very small head. At it's widest it is still very snug and comes off your head as soon as you turn your head. It does have a cord around it to be able to tighten when needed but it's unnecessary as small as it is.

The other issue is the veil webbing. The part that you look through, although easier to see out of than most hoods, is narrower than other hoods and makes you feel like your looking through a slot. I measured two other round hoods that I have and both of them are at least an inch wider than this hood of the visible view portion.
